LAFC So Cal Youth, based in the San Fernando Valley, fields teams in multiple leagues (ECNL, ECNL Regional League, Pre ECNL, and SOCAL).

Our tryouts align with league-issued dates, which fall during the following periods:

 

• Week of December 1: Under-8 and Under-9 SOCAL teams
  • Rising U9: 8/1/17-7/31/18
  • Rising U8: 8/1/18-7/31/19

 

• Week of February 23: Under-10-Under-14 SOCAL, Under-11-Under-12 Pre ECNL, and Under-13 ECNL and ECNL RL teams
  • Rising U13: 8/1/13-7/31/14
  • Rising U12: 8/1/14-7/31/15
  • Rising U11: 8/1/15-7/31/16
  • Rising U10: 8/1/16-7/31/17

 

• Week of April 20: Under-14-Under-19 ECNL and ECNL RL, and Under-15-Under-19 SOCAL teams
  • Rising U19: 8/1/07-7/31/09
  • Rising U17: 8/1/09-7/31/10
  • Rising U16: 8/1/10-7/31/11
  • Rising U15: 8/1/11-7/31/12
  • Rising U14: 8/1/12-7/31/13

Tryouts for outside players and Age Group Pool Training for current players will occur together the weeks of February 23 and March 2 for the following teams and age groups:

U09 Girls (players born between 8/1/17 and 7/31/18): Monday and Wednesday, 4:30-6 PM, field 3 Victory Blvd

U10 Girls (players born between 8/1/16 and 7/31/17): Tuesday and Thursday, 4:30-6 PM, fields 4 and 5 Victory Blvd

U11 Girls (players born between 8/1/15 and 7/31/16): Monday and Wednesday, 4:30-6 PM, fields 4 and 5 Victory Blvd

U12 Girls (players born between 8/1/14 and 7/31/15): Tuesday and Thursday, 6-7:30 PM, fields 4 and 5 Victory Blvd

All families who wish for their child to be considered for selection MUST enroll online. This applies to both current LAFC So Cal Youth players and those who wish to join. CLICK HERE to begin enrollment.

Families new to LAFC So Cal Youth will need to create an account first, add their child as a participant, and enroll in Tryouts. Families new to the club should have a current photo (headshot) of their child to upload during this process.

Opportunities to join teams can occur outside of these designated tryout periods, depending on whether teams are able to add players to their roster, and complying with league rules.

All families with a child interested in joining a team during the current season (not waiting till tryouts) should complete the form below. A member of the club's staff may contact you with information in the event an opportunity exists; otherwise families enrolled in tryouts will be contacted with tryout information closer to the date of that event.

Interested families who complete the player interest form will be contacted with specific dates and details, inviting their child to attend a practice of an ECNL, ECNL RL or SOCAL team.

LAFC So Cal Youth offers two or three teams in each age group, competing in ECNL (top team) ECNL Regional League (second team) and, when applicable, SOCAL (third team).

Players should attend the tryout dates of the team level they wish to try out for, and are encouraged to attend as many of these sessions as possible. All interested players should complete tryout registration (coming soon)
